The Grand Dowager is a beautiful Persian, Heriz. She is hand knotted and woven from wool on a wool foundation. She was woven in the Heriz region, and has a nice, heavy pile, that is easy to clean up but is still soft underfoot. This rug measures approximately 8.5x12 and has a very rich palette of soft reddish pink with navy, white and orange accents. She sports the geometric diamond motif.
Please note this rug is over 100 years old and has age appropriate wear. She’s been repaired in two places around the edges and has some areas of low pile. She is in great condition for her age and is ready another 100 years of life. She is being sold as is! Please reference photos for condition.
